Dr. González Castillo graduated with summa cum laude distinction from the doctoral program in Polymer Science and Technology offered jointly by the Spanish National Research Council and Menéndez Pelayo International University (Spain).
Since 2018, his research has focused on the development of nanostructured polymer-based coatings via EPD, as well as on elucidating their process–structure–property relationships using both conventional and synchrotron techniques.
He has carried out research in EPD and nanostructured coatings at the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg (Germany), Trenčianska univerzita Alexandra Dubčeka (Slovakia), and AO Research Institute Davos (Switzerland)
